Note: Key plot points for Episode 3 of this adventure are included.
The Warrior Group Unveiled
The latest chapter concluded with a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of characters who will separate from the primary party to begin their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team consists of the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
Given a large ensemble, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
This explains, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, weaving together the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Soldiers, Schemers, and Seekers.
What Defines the Combat Party
According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might look mismatched, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
To begin with, the team understands precisely where to head next after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, entering the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.
Casimir then settled his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in the remote area, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each adventurer has a specific drive to exit the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, wants revenge.
- Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and warns that it is a hostile location.
- The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
- However, their reputation as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the team access places they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, The fighter pledged a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now go with him anywhere.
Fugitives
Lastly, all of them are sought by the rulers that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- Thimble and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and Wicander defied the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- The target is wanted dead by the family.
This means them little choice but to head to Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.
